Hanes Supply received a request from a general contractor to resolve a unique rigging application. We responded to the site within 24 hours that was 4-1/2 hours away from our nearest location.
The project called for a 62 ton condenser unit for power generation to be lifted off of a flat bed trailer to its permanent location. There was limited clearance of only 164 inches inside the building. We had to include the measurements of the 65 ton bridge crane hook, the 62 ton condenser unit, lifting beam, foundation for the condenser unit, Twin Path slings, alloy master link, and shackles.
Hanes Supply conducted an on-site review of the project and arranged a meeting with the engineers to accomplish the task. The contractor’s engineering department manufactured the lifting beam due to time constraints and delivery schedule. Hanes Supply manufactured the Twin Path slings, supplied the alloy master link, and the shackles. The following was required:
The pictures show our success with the application working together with the contractor. The customer was very pleased with our dedication and obligation to see the project through to the end.
You can rely on Hanes Supply, Inc to assist you on your next tough rigging project. We would also be pleased to quote your next below the hook lifting and rigging project. Just give us a call!

The contractor’s engineering department manufactured the lifting beam due to time constraints and delivery schedule. Hanes Supply manufactured the Twin Path slings, supplied the alloy master link, and the shackles. The following was required:
- Top Rigging: 2- TPXC 125,000 x 47” Twin Path slings with 4 to 75 metric ton wide body shackles attached to a 65 ton lifting beam and a 3-1/2” alloy master link WLL at 279,000 lbs.
- Bottom Rigging: 4-TPXC 5,000 x 77” Twin Path slings with 8 to 55 ton screw pin anchor shackles.
The lifting project was awarded to the contractor 7 days before delivery of the condenser unit. We were able to manufacture the Twin path slings and deliver all the rigging supplies to the jobsite on time. The contractor was able to build the lifting beam and deliver on time also.
The pictures show our success with the application working together with the contractor. The customer was very pleased with our dedication and obligation to see the project through to the end.
