Southern Tier TwinPath Lift

Twinpath slings used for bridge lift

This 40,000 pound Twin-Path sling lift for this bridge was with in the Southern Tier of New York. There were three decks weighing 40,000 pounds each. Each of the three decks were 10' wide by 22' long and had to be lifted, rotated and lowered into place to build this bridge. This was completed in only three hours. To accomplish this, the following was used:

2 each, Two Legged, TPXC 2500 x 40', Twin-Path Slings, with capacities of 43,300 pounds each at 60 degrees.
4 each, Actek Swivel Through Hoist Rings.
4 each, Crosby Sling Saver Web Shackles, S-253, which are 4 inch Synthetic Sling Shackles with a 20.5 ton WLL each.
The Twin-Path, Double Legged, Synthetic Slings were attached with the Crosby Sling Saver Shackles. The Crosby Sling Saver Shackles were connected to the Actek Swivel Through Hoist Rings, which were bolted to the decks. After the decks were in place the Actek Swivel Hoist Rings were unbolted from below.
